Ernesto Perez Carrillo is probably one of the most coveted blenders in the cigar industry today. He created La Gloria Cubana in the early 90’s where it became one of the most popular selling cigars even to this day. In 2009 Ernesto Perez created his own company EP Carrillo and it has been a huge success.
Ernesto Perez has added the Maduro line to his core line of cigars out of necessity. This cigar has a Connecticut Broadleaf grown in the Connecticut River Valley in 2008 and 2009. Ernesto Perez has said this is basically the same blend as the original core line the only difference is the binder, which is Sumatran, is used to compliment the Maduro wrapper. There are eight sizes available:
* No. 4 (5 ½ by 42)
* Encantos (4 7/8 by 50)
* Regalias Real (5 5/8 by 46)
* Club 52 (5 7/8 by 52)
* Churchill Especial (7 1/8 by 49)
* Predilectos (6 1/8 by 52 Torpedo Cap)
*Golosos (6 ¼ by 50)
* Monumentos (7 3/8 by 56)
Overall opinion, this is a very complex smoke that was great to relax with and enjoy for a wonderful finish to a long day.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I just got the new issue of Cigar Aficionado and 2 of EP Carillo's Cigars were rated! The new wave connecticut corona was rated a 91. And the Elencos series Acto Mayor was rated 90!!
I hardly use the Cigar Aficionado ratings, but this was a superior cigar with rich flavor without any harsh notes. You may easily deduce this was produced by a superior blender, employing years talent and resulting a product that we all will enjoy.
