Camacho Ecuador

Taken from the Camacho Facebook Page

Camacho has released a new line called the Ecuador.  This cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper.  According to Camacho this tobacco is grown in the rugged and nitrogen rich soils beneath the Andes Mountains thus giving the wrapper a unique color, texture, and aroma.  Camacho further states that this is one of the most versatile wrappers that they grow and because of this, they believe their master blenders have utilized its versatility and created something fresh and unique!  Available in a Robusto (5x50), Toro (6x50), Churchill (7x48), Figurado (6 1/8 x 54 x 42), and a Gordo (6x60).  They are already receiving great reviews all over the internet. This is a must try!

Davidoff Art Edition 2014

Davidoff has just unveiled the new Limited Art Edition of 2014.  The Davidoff Art Initiative supports contemporary art and up and coming artists from the Caribbean.  The Cigar bands and boxes are adorned with compositions from Qualsqueya Henriquez, who was originally born in Cuba.  He is quoted as saying; "I have always had a mind to work with images that illustrate time and the many different steps involved in the tradition of cigar making." The compositions, inspired by the tobacco fields of the Dominican Republic, capture both the time-consuming process of cigar making and also pays homage to the artist's Native Caribbean Culture.

The cigars are a perfecto shape rolled by only a select few at the Davidoff Factory.  Master blenders were asked to create a Dominican Puro using rare and aged tobaccos.  Two compositions of Art are showcased on boxes that house 10 cigars with each containing a second band that matches the artwork on the box. These are extremely limited with only 850 boxes of each of the Artwork created!

Part of the proceeds from the sales of the Limited Art Edition will benefit the Davidoff Art Initiative that helps to support new artists.

Regius of London by Exclusivo USA

Compliments of Exclusivo USA

Regius of London Cigars is launching a new line; Exclusivo USA.  These cigars are hand rolled in the Plasencia Factory. Only the finest tobacco was used to create a unique and one of a kind taste. These cigars are a Jalapa Wrapped Nicaraguan Puro that has everything you want in a cigar; richness, complexity, body, and smoothness. Each size has a slightly different flavor profile. They range from mild to medium all the way to medium to full.

Akhil Kapacee of Regius Cigars is quoted as saying this for an official press release;

"I can probably count the number of meetings I have been asked to attend in the last few years on one hand. However, I was in one such meeting with Nestor Plasencia and his staff, one of the biggest tobacco growers in the world, last Thursday. As soon as we had lit up the cigars, the Earth started to shake violently. Quite literally. Whilst the others made swiftly for the exit, we sat there, stunned, looking at the cigar. This was a cigar so complex that if the roof had fallen in, I can say with absolute uncertainty that I would have died satisfied.

Exclusivo U.S.A. uses the very best of Nestor`s tobacco, and his best rollers. Each cigar has a unique blend crafted for its respective size, all of which aid the development of flavour and complexity. The pressed perfecto has an intensity from the box press coupled with the closed foot which ages the tobacco slower. The Toro Extra develops with every puff, into a crescendo of taste two thirds of the way through. The Fat Perfecto displays an array of aromas and texture as it widens and progresses.

Many months of hard work have gone into these cigars, to achieve something unique, whilst also capturing the traditional flavour profile and method of blending. There is not many cigars that would leave connoisseurs in stunned silence as an earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale shakes the earth. But this is one of them."

CroMagnon and CroMagnon Aquitaine

Taken from the RoMa Craft Tobac Website
CroMagnon is rumored to be the hottest cigar yet of 2014.  Set to begin shipping within the next couple of weeks -  I thought I would take a moment give some information on this new cigar.

This cigar is manufactured by a newer company called RoMa Craft Tobac.  The company believes in one philosophy; "Combine quality tobacco, experienced craftsman, and the right amount of time, and you will produce great cigars" (taken from the RoMa Craft website).  They also harbor under the belief in never compromising in this ideals and this will produce quality and consistent smokes every time.

The original core line called the CroMagnon is a medium to full blend consisting of some of the most sought after tobaccos.  It has a US Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro Wrapper, a Cameroon binder, and a blend of three different fillers.  The fillers come from Esteli, the Condega region, and a farm near the Honduran Border.  One of the fillers is a Ligero that brings a strong smoky richness to the smoke, the wrapper brings a nice sweet undertone to the smoke, and the Cameroon binder lends a certain level of bite and spice.  All of this combines to create a wonderfully complex and rich smoke.

The sister line to the CroMagnon is called Acquitaine.  This cigar has the same binder and fillers but uses an Ecuadorian Habano Ligero wrapper.  The ninth priming Ligero wrapper is a thick, strong, and oily piece of perfection.  This cigar comes in as a full body - its the CroMagnon amped up to the next level!

I am very excited to actually get these in so that I can smoke one for myself.  Be on the lookout for these guys - they are most certainly a must try!!

This is a very smooth cigar with notes of chocolate, earth, and nuts.  Only 600 boxes were made where by each store will receive 200 boxes.  The Toria is available in boxes of 20.  This cigar is rumored to become a highly collectable sought after cigar - so get yours before they are gone!

The New Look of Camacho

There have been a few changes for Camacho.  The company would like to be known for their bold and intense cigars.  So they have created packaging to reflect this motto.  Only these 6 lines shown below are going to be carried, all others are now discontinued.  The Triple Maduro and Connecticut blends were not changed, but the other 4 were intensified.  Camacho hopes that moving forward in the future they will set a new bar for strong and bold cigars.

New EP Carrillo ICPCR Release - E-Stunner

Photo of the EP Carrillo Booth at the ICPCR Show as posted on EP Carrillo's Facebook Page
EP Carrillo's newest release, that was unveiled at the 2013 ICPCR show in Las Vegas, is called the E-Stunner.  The premise of this cigar came from a very interesting idea.  EP Carrillo set out to create a cigar that would produce a similar effect as an energy drink.  They were made strong and full of flavor with the idea being to "stun" you!

There will be 3 sizes available; a 4 x 46, a 5 x 50, and a 5 ½ x 54.  The details of the blend have not been released yet but already the excitement surrounding this cigar is mounting.

I will certainly keep you updated with the details as I know them!

Tatuaje Monster Series 2013

This year the Monster Series commemorates Jason Voorhees from the movie Friday the 13th.

I figured this announcement needed little introduction since the title pretty much says it all.  So I thought I would just cut straight to the chase and announce it.  I was unable to find out anything about the cigar itself.  I'm sure as time goes on more information will be divulged.  But what I was told is that Casa de Montecristo is guaranteed 200 of the undressed boxes!!!  I will post more information as I get it.

New Acid ICPCR Release

The Drew Estate Acid line is arguably one of the top selling cigar lines.  So it came as no surprise to me when one of the boys from the show told me that Acid was going to be releasing a Kuba Kuba in a 6 x 60.  The Kuba Kuba is from their Remi Blue line and is traditionally a 6 x 50.  I've reported before that 6 x 60's are the new "it" size so it seems logical to me that Drew Estate would offer their most popular selling cigar in the new most popular selling size.

This should be a good seller - I can't wait to get them in!!

7 x 70 Ring Gages

Larger ring gage cigars are the hot size right now.  For a long time the "it" size was a 6 x 60, but now manufacturers are releasing massive 7 x 70 cigars.  And surprisingly they have become my most popular selling size.

I am going to be honest, every downfall I could possibly think of about having a 70 ring gage cigar has been disproven by the feedback from all of my customers.  These cigars do not burn hot.  All have burned nice, even, and smooth.  These cigars taste absolutely fantastic considering the amount of filler needed to make the ring gage.  Not to mention you get to smoke one cigar for quite some time, at a very reasonable price.

We've put together a sampler for our internet store that showcases the best of the best in 70 ring gages.  The sampler includes names like EP Carrillo, Gran Habano, Torano Master, and Asylum 13.

I'd be interested in hearing your feedback about these cigars!!
