Macanudo 1968 Robusto

Country of Origin: Dominican Republic
Wrapper:  Honduran
Binder:  Connecticut Habano
Filler: Dominican and Nicaraguan
Vitola: Robusto
Length:  5
Ring Gage:  50
Strength:  Medium

This is a great change up for the Macanudo line.  The best way to describe this cigar is when comparing it to other Macanudo; this can be quantified as a full bodied.  But when you compare this other lines it is considered a medium bodied.

This cigar has a nice dark, oily wrapper.  It is firm to the touch and shows good construction.  It has a nice firm and steady draw.  It did not need to be relight once while smoking.

I noticed a slight spice to the cigar, with an earthy, coffee undertone.  This is a great smooth and complex smoke.
General Cigar also just reduced the price on these cigars!

This is my favorite economical cigar in the Gigante (6' by 60) size from General cigar. The flavor consists of delicious sour Dominican and peppery Nicaraguan tobaccos. No hint of harshness can be detected on the many boxes I've consumed and the consistent taste with an increasing strength at the end. Great go to cigar for everyday smokers.
